VivaLab committed to Local SDGs

This is a representation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) made with plastic waste. The ODS are a set of 17 global objectives to address social, economic, and environmental challenges that are part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

At VivaLab Porto, we take pride in our commitment to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the local level. Our dedication to sustainability spans various areas, focusing on quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), responsible consumption (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13), and fostering partnerships to achieve these objectives (SDG 17).

1. SDGs and Vivalab's commitment

One of our key initiatives involves recycling 1 ton of plastic annually through the innovative capabilities of Precious Plastic machines. By using this technology, we aim not only to mitigate plastic waste but also to inspire businesses to adopt sustainable practices and incorporate sustainability reporting. Our ambition is to progressively increase these efforts, moving towards an increasingly sustainable future.

Additionally, our engagement with local schools is fundamental to our sustainability initiatives. Each year, we reach an average of 10 schools, actively addressing climate-related topics and empowering individuals with the relevant skills needed for success in an ever-changing world. We seek to instil a sense of environmental responsibility and equip future generations with the tools necessary to tackle complex sustainability challenges.

At VivaLab Porto, we firmly believe in the power of local action to drive global change. By leading Local Initiatives for Sustainable Development Goals, we aim to foster a culture of sustainability within our community and make meaningful contributions to the collective pursuit of a better, resilient, and sustainable world. Join us on our journey towards a brighter and more sustainable future.
