What is a FabLab?

A FabLab (or digital fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop equipped with a variety of tools, both manual and computer-controlled, along with various materials, with the aim of enabling the creation of "almost anything" by anyone. And it's this accessibility that we offer at V!VALab.

This concept began at MIT in 2005, at the Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), and nowadays, there are over 1200 digital fabrication laboratories spread worldwide! Being part of a FabLab means being connected to a global community of students, educators, technology enthusiasts, researchers, makers, and innovators. It involves being part of a shared knowledge network that spans over 50 countries. As all laboratories share common tools and processes, a distributed laboratory for research and innovation is created worldwide.
